The ideals of the circular economy have been included into Indonesia’s development plans and vision. The circular economy concepts have been developed in Vision Indonesia 2045 as the policy moving ahead. The Government of Indonesia has established an analysis study of the environmental, economic, and social potential for the implementation of a circular economy in Indonesia in 5 (five) industrial sectors, namely food and beverages, construction, electronics, textiles, and plastics, as a first step in putting the circular economy concept into practise. The Danish Government is supporting this study. The formulation of the National Action Plan and the inclusion of the circular economy in the upcoming National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025-2029 will come after this study on the circular economy’s progress.
