There are several cross-border activities about circular economy (CE), such as World Circular Economy Forum, COP26, and MOU on CE between EU and China in 2018. However, the involvement of developing countries in these initiatives,
and collaboration between developing countries, especially the ones in Asia-Pacific region are still limited. Therefore, there is a need for an integrated forum where countries can collaborate together.
In Vietnam, according to the “Scheme on tasks and solutions to implement the results of the COP26”, the specific goal also emphasizes international cooperation on CE, energy transition, GHG emission reduction, climate diplomacy, and
research and innovation for low-carbon development. Thus, the 1st annual/biennially International Forum on CE is significant in pioneering Vietnam’s role on connecting, cooperating in CE development in the region toward global
sustainability. The event is expected to have about 1,500 people to attend (including more than 20 countries). The Vietnamese (Deputy-) Prime Minister will also participate. The idea of this integration is to utilize resources and participants.
