UNCRD’s 3R and circular economy initiative brings together the policy and scientific community to convene the Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia-Pacific annually. To improve the science-policy interface in dealing with 3R and resource efficiency as fundamental for economic growth, pollution prevention, and strengthening resilience of cities and communities, and ultimately to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change.
On this occasion, the ACESP secretariat engages with national and sub-national policymakers from ASEAN member states and leading circular economy scholars across the Asia Pacific. It is encouraging and inspiring to see major 3R and Circular Economy achievements and initiatives from ASEAN member states.
