The EPR Indonesia platform is the primary source of information related to Indonesia’s efforts to establish an extended producer responsibility. A well-functioning EPR would be a major milestone. While the Indonesian food & beverage industry and the hospitality sector are gearing up to comply with the tightening regulatory environment, business opportunities will arise for a wide range of companies and sectors. Collection and recycling infrastructure as well as new packaging solutions are the most obvious needs among many.
In order not to miss the right time to enter the market, continuous monitoring of developments is necessary. It is also necessary to familiarize yourself with the existing regulatory situation. For companies that do not follow developments continuously, the information situation is rather transparent. The necessary information cannot be found bundled in one place. As a result, the emerging (and in some cases already existing) business opportunities cannot be identified at an early stage. The project, therefore, aims to achieve the following primary objectives:
- Support the development of business opportunities through the provision of information from different sources that are related to the circular economy in general and EPR in particular
- Introduction of German EPR expertise and experiences through our online-seminar series. For more information, please click here
- Support the dialogue between the Indonesian government and local industry to implement the Waste Reduction Roadmap by conducting online seminars and providing relevant information on the portal
