IndoCircularWaste is an international research collaboration project concerning waste management and circular economy, funded by DANIDA Fellowship Center, Denmark. It is conducted under a research consortium among the University of Southern Denmark, Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, and the Center for South East Asian STudy. The objective of IndoCircularWaste is to develop a novel circular economy business model for municipal solid waste management in Indonesia.
IndoCircularWaste Mission:
Is to develop a novel circular economy business model for municipal solid waste management in Indonesia. It is targeted to increase the connection of all the waste management value chain actors (municipalities, waste banks, households, recycling facilities, and industries) in Indonesia by focusing on three key drivers:
(1) Digitalization of waste handling value chain from collection to recycling;
(2) Improving waste management policies; and
(3) Increasing extended producer responsibility.
