Zamboanga City Reiterate the Implementation of Plastic-Free Weekends (Executive Order 453-2019)

Executive Order 453-2019 of Zamboanga City on banning the use of non-biodegradable plastic shopping bags in the city every Saturday and Sunday was released on March 2019, it is an initial step in making the city more eco-friendly.

May 2022, The Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) meets representatives of various malls and supermarkets Monday morning to reiterate the implementation of Executive Order 453-2019 banning the use of plastic shopping bags in the city every Saturday and Sunday.
